Project Manager

Project Manager

Anguleris Technologies · Elgin, IL - Onsite · Full-time · Project Delivery

The short version

Anguleris is a 15-year, architect-founded construction technology company and the parent of BIMsmith, Swatchbox, Modlar, Archbase, and Gaudi AI. Our clients are building product manufacturers, and when one of them signs with us, somebody has to turn that signature into a launched, live, working program. That somebody is you.

You'll own client onboarding and implementation from kickoff to launch: the plan, the timeline, the deliverables, the client relationship, and the dozens of moving pieces in between. The AE made a promise. You're the one who keeps it.

Why this role, why now

Sales is growing, which means implementations are growing, and an implementation is where a client decides whether we're who they thought we were. A great onboarding turns a one-year contract into a ten-year relationship. A sloppy one turns a champion into a skeptic. There is no version of this company's growth that doesn't run directly through this desk.

What you'll own

The launch. Every new client engagement gets a plan with real dates, real owners, and a real definition of done. You'll build it, run it, and land it. On time is the reputation we're protecting, and it's yours to protect too.

The client. You'll be the manufacturer's main point of contact from kickoff through launch: running calls, setting expectations, chasing their deliverables as diligently as ours, and keeping them informed before they think to ask. Hospitality is one of our core disciplines, and a status update that arrives before the client wonders is what it looks like in this job.

The follow-through. Implementations die from dropped balls, not hard problems. Every action item from every call gets captured, assigned, and closed. Nothing lives only in your head, and nothing dies in your inbox.

The internal orchestra. You'll coordinate BIM content, fulfillment, engineering, and sales to hit client dates, without having authority over any of them. Your influence is your preparation, your clarity, and the fact that your projects don't slip.

The truth, early. When a timeline is at risk, we hear it from you first, with a recovery plan attached. Bad news early is a plan. Bad news late is an apology.

Who does well here

You've run client-facing projects for 3 to 5 years and can point to launches you carried from kickoff to done. Construction industry background is not required. We'll teach you BIM, sampling, and how architects specify products; you bring the craft of delivery. The pattern:

  • You close loops. This is the job. Every commitment tracked, every follow-up sent, every project moved forward every week. We hate dropped balls more than we hate mistakes, and you're the same way.
  • You're highly organized without being rigid. Your plans are tight, but when a client changes scope on a Tuesday, you re-plan instead of complain.
  • You're a clear communicator. Your status updates are specific: what's done, what's next, what's blocked, who's on it. Nobody reads your email twice to figure out what you meant.
  • You're calm under juggling. You'll run multiple implementations at once. The person who thrives here works the list; the person who struggles narrates the chaos.
  • You're humble, hungry, and people-smart. All three, no exceptions. You give the team credit at launch, chase things nobody asked you to chase, and read when a client is quietly unhappy before they say it.
  • You have agency. Missing information? Unclear process? You say "I'll figure it out," and then you actually do.

What this role is not

  • It is not a ticket-routing job. You own outcomes, not task lists. "I sent the email" is not "it's handled."
  • It is not a role for someone who needs authority to lead. You'll move teams you don't manage, and your projects will show whether you can.
  • It is not a place to hide behind process. The plan serves the launch, not the other way around.

Practical details

  • Full-time, onsite at our Elgin, IL headquarters.
  • Client-facing role: regular calls with manufacturer teams, occasional travel as launches require.
  • Compensation: competitive salary, commensurate with experience.

How to apply

Skip the generic cover letter. Send us a short note answering one question: tell us about a project that was headed off the rails, and exactly what you did to land it anyway. Attach your résumé. That's it.
